Do We Need A Piano Teacher?

On the previous articles, the benefits of self-learning piano through piano DVD, internet piano lessons online, or computer software have been explained very comprehensive and understandable. However for the first-time learners, the first steps about how to read sheet music are always the hardest. This way, you are better to learn piano with a private teacher. A piano teacher will have the most effective and appropriate methods for you. You may question these: Is it that important to have a piano teacher? Do I really need that? Of course learning piano with a private teacher will be so much helpful for your piano skill development, as a teacher can give you more personal and personable approaches to make your talents well-directed.

When you learn piano with a teacher, she/he will find the best ways to suit both your emotional and physical needs. Definitely, this one is what the computer software and piano DVD cannot give. Even though we realize that computer software is able to develop your playing techniques, but in terms of emotion or psychology when you play, a private teacher is the only one that can handle this matter. In addition to that, the most crucial issue that a private piano teacher can give is the attentiveness and a delight in music. Anyone will find the teacher's knowledge, experience, empathy, piano lessons, and comprehension will make your skill develop faster.

A private teacher will transfer you his or her knowledge and experience on how to choose the best fingering, helping you identify repertoire and test you to develop your abilities by choosing just the right piece for your interest and level of ability. For sure, the piano lessons from piano DVD, books, or software will not be able to motivate yourself to practice when you reach challenges that look like away from your competence. Again, a private piano teacher will help you work through the problems in a safe and sound manner. At the end, computer software, books, piano DVD might be very precious, but there is no substitution for a private piano teacher after all.
