However, having passion doesn’t mean you do nothing but you need to undertake doing extra efforts and practices. Here, I want to share you some tips how to play piano or learn piano better. If you are joining the formal piano lessons, then these tips can be very useful as the additional information for you. Please remember that practice makes your piano playing ability more perfect. Just like doing sports, before playing with all your fingers you need to warm up yourself by stretching your fingers, believe me this works! In addition, whether you learn piano with teacher or self-learning with a Piano DVD, it is better if you practice everyday as this way you will be more skilled. It is also important that your piano lessons should include learning music theory, such as how to read the music and tempo. This will be useful whenever you want to play the music you like most. Apart from that, using the internet access is also something which can be taken into account. Even cannot be used as the main source, internet provides you loads of free information, practice sheets, online courses, and even better on the internet you are also able to download the music that you want to acquire. With your persistent motivation and spirit, there will be always ways to play piano perfectly.
Take a Good Care of Your Piano
Are you frustrated with taking a good care of you piano? Well…you are not alone! There are many piano owners out there who do not have ideas in doing the ideal care and maintenance for their beloved pianos. However, I should remind you that being able to play piano correctly and knowing more about the music are important, BUT, taking care of your piano is one thing. Your piano lessons might not include the tips how to clean or how to treat your piano well, therefore I will reveal what you are supposed to do and a few that you shouldnt. Please be remembered that your piano should be regularly tuned in order to keep up to pitch, which is A4 = 440Hz. To do this regular tuning, at least every six months, you definitely need an expert tuner-technician. Ask your piano lessons teacher to recommend you a reliable tuner-technician in town. When the person is checking and having your piano tuned, dont forget to ask him adjusting the poor sounding notes as well as the defective pedals of your piano. In addition, the hammers of your piano also need to be voiced and other parts need to be carefully checked. This regular maintenance will keep your piano away for being out of order for such a long time. Apart from that, to have your piano producing warmer tones resembling the settled pianos, you also need clean your piano and its keyboards, both black and white keys altogether. Don’t use hard fabrics to clean them up, instead you should use soft one which has been moistened using the methylated spirit. Another tip for you, whenever you move your piano, please do not move it alone! This must be done by trained piano movers applying sufficient manpower and the proper equipment to suit your particular piano's size and weight. This is understandable as your piano must be heavy and consisting of fragile and delicate instruments. After taking care of your piano, you can learn piano and enjoy your piano lessons comfortably, both self-learning with piano DVD and learning with teacher.
Why a Private Piano Teacher?
Although the people now can easily learn the piano lessons from the books or CDs, still learning piano with a good private teacher is helpful and very effective. Whenever you learn piano with a teacher, you will be taught personally how a piano works, how to correctly play the notes, or how to practice. The main difference when you learn piano with a teacher if compared with self-learning piano from the books or piano DVD, is that you will comprehend the emotional expression of the music that will make your playing more pleasurable to do and more convincing to hear. In addition, if you have your own musical ideas and thoughts, a private piano teacher is someone you can discuss and share with. Of course, this way you cannot discuss with the software of DVD. A private piano teacher is the only person who knows your progress, musical talents and piano playing abilities more than anyone matters. Even if you admit yourself a professional piano player, there are still many things to learn, including How to Become a Better pianist, or to know about More Advanced Music. Also it is recommended to take more serious piano lessons in order to sharpen your piano skill. Another benefit by having a private piano teacher is that a teacher is able to find the best approach to teach you. When teaching you, a teacher will also be able to see your emotional needs, one aspect that a piano DVD cannot provide. A teacher will always tell you the new and different technique, telling you how to play music in different keys. Last but not least, if you learn piano with professional teachers, you will be shared all of their experiences, skills, knowledge, tips and tricks, that you will find much more enjoyable than you can attain if your learn the piano lessons alone.
