Playing
with all your fingers
The
next tune is played using all your fingers. Put your hands in the
positions you use to practise training your fingers

Play
each of these notes, one after the other, to 'warm up' your fingers.
Then, play the right-hand part of 'Jingle Bells' on its own, making
sure you give each note its correct number of beats. When you can
do this, play the left-hand part on its own. Then, put the two hands
together - notes which are one above the other are played at the
same time.
JINGLE BELLS - A Christmas Song, by James Pierpoint

Try
to keep your eyes on the text and play without looking down at the
keys. As long as your fingers are in the right places and you use
the correct fingers, you will play the right notes.
Take a few moments to think about a tune before you play it. Sing
or hum the first notes to yourself, so you get the right feeling
for the.tune, and start counting and playing at the proper speed.
