Starting to read music

As long as you remember the position of 'g', you can work out all the other notes which are usually played by the right hand:
'g' is on the second line, the next note higher - 'a' - is in the space above, 'b' is on the middle line, and so on. Going downwards, 'f' is in the space below 'g' then 'e' is on the bottom line, and 'd' is below the bottom line. Then, the next note lower - Middle C - is on a short line below the stave.

Play all these notes with one finger of the right hand saying the note's name as you play it. Start with Middle C and play each white key to the right.
