Another
Clef is used on the lower stave of piano music:
As long as you remember the position of 'F', you can work out all
the other notes which are usually played by the left hand.
'F' is on the second line from the top, 'G' is in the top space
and 'A' is on the top line. Going down, 'E' is in the space below
'F', then 'D' is on the middle line, and so on.
Play all of these notes with one finger of the left hand, and say
each note's name as you play it.
As you may have noticed, 'Middle C' appears on a short line below
the upper stave and on a short line above the lower stave. It is
shown on both staves, because it can be played by either hand.
